Basketball Team Wins First Matches

ree

Chesterton Academy of Rochester's new girls' basketball program opened the season last week with victories in each of three contests, including two on their home court at the school gym. Chesterton is combining with St. John Bosco Schools to start out with modified teams for both girls and boys, for which scholars in grades 7-9 can play. This years' Lady Crusaders squad of seventh and eighth graders is sure to be part of a strong team when Chesterton's varsity hoopsters take to the court in coming years. Plans are in the works for a modified boys’ team, which would start practice in December, with games shortly thereafter.
