Chesterton Academy was profiled by Word on Fire as an example of the renewal movement of Catholic education in our country. Dale Ahlquist, founder of Chesterton Academy interview addresses the key reasons why this renewal is needed as well as the virtues of classical education, which prepare students for for life and any profession they choose:
"The renewal movement gained momentum with the founding of new schools and initiatives dedicated to recovering classical Catholic education: education that combines the principles of classical education with the tenets of the Catholic faith. One such initiative is the Chesterton Schools Network, cofounded by Dale Ahlquist, a father looking for an alternative Catholic school for his children. The first school, Chesterton Academy, was founded in 2008 dedicated to the following mission:
To help parents raise up a new generation of joyful leaders and saints, educated in the classical tradition and the truths of the Catholic faith.
