Miss Richards has been Headmaster of Chesterton Academy of Rochester since its founding and of St. John Bosco Schools since 2011. Previous to that, she served for sixteen years as a teacher at almost every grade level and Instructor in online college courses. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary English Education from Canisius College and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She is a parishioner at St. Michael Church in Newark.
Fr. Copenhagen was the first homeroom teacher at Chesterton Academy of Rochester in 2014. He has taught taught multiple grades, including high school, middle school, and fourth grade, at St. John Bosco Schools since 2012. Fr. Michael is the Pastor of St. Nicholas the Wonder Worker Byzantine Catholic Churches in Gates. Father holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Scranton and Bachelor of Sacred Theology in Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas. He and his wife, Maria have four children.
Miss Pietropaoli started teaching at Chesterton Academy in 2014, having taught at St. John Bosco Schools since 2011. She has served as a Literature, History, and Theology teacher and Director of Student Life. She is also the moderator of the Chesterton Academy student government, and she has participated in curriculum development for Chesterton Academy. Miss Pietropaoli holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Providence College, where she also concentrated in the Development of Western Civilization. She is a parishioner of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church in East Rochester.
Mr. Griffen joined Chesterton Academy began directing the Chesterton Academy choir just before Christmas of 2015. Mr. Griffen serves as a Religion and History Teacher and also Choir Director for Chesterton and St. John Bosco middle school. Mr. Griffen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Philosophy from Roberts Wesleyan College, a Masters of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary, and also a Master of Arts in History from SUNY Brockport. He has actively been studying voice for over 25 years, primarily with Dr. Robert Shewan (Professor Emeritus, RWC).
Mrs. Jenkins has taught Art at Chesterton Academy since 2014. She has served as an Art Teacher in Catholic, homeschool, and public school settings since 2001. During her career, she has also served as a college portfolio consultant and is a professional artist herself. Mrs. Jenkins holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Art from Nazareth College. Mrs. Giannavola was a founding staff member of Chesterton Academy of Rochester in 2014. She has served as a part-time teacher at St. John Bosco Schools since 2008. Mrs. Giannavola holds a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Brockport State University. She and her husband Tom and their children Matthew, Nicholas, Marissa, and Lauren are parishioners at Our Lady of Victory Church in Rochester.
Mr. Rimbert joined Chesterton Academy as a Teacher of Mathematics and Science in 2016. He has also served as a Catechist, Tutor, Shooting Instructor and Teaching Assistant. Mr. Rimbert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Physics from the State University at Postdam. He is a parishioner at St. Kateri Church in Irondequoit.
Fr. DeMaio joined Chesterton Academy as Priest and Latin Teacher in our first year, 2014. During his career, begun in 1966, he has served as Teacher, Counsellor, Administrator and Chaplain. Fr. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from St. Bonaventure University, a Master of Arts in Foreign and Comparative Literature from the University of Rochester, and a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. Fr. DeMaio assists at St. Leo Church in Hilton.
Mr. Kunz started teaching Latin at Chesterton Academy in 2016, having joined St. John Bosco five years before. During his career, he has served as a Latin Teacher in New York State and Fairfax, Virginia. Mr. Kunz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from St. Bernard’s Seminary in Rochester. He and his wife Anne Marie are parishioners at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Webster.
Fr. Healy has been a part of Chesterton Academy and St. John Bosco since each school’s inception. He now serves as a Counselor; in his past forty years he has been a Teacher and Middle School Counselor. Father holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Catholic University of America, a Master’s in Philosophy and Religion from Columbia University, a Master’s in Sacred Theology from St. Michael’s College, and a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Toronto. Fr. Healy assists at St. Leo Church in Hilton.
Mr. Marchand joined Chesterton Academy as Athletic Director and Head of Building and Grounds in 2016. During his career, he has served as a Letter Carrier, Coach, High School and College Umpire, and is a Knight of Columbus. John and his wife Cathy, and their family are parishioners at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Webster.
